Silves is approximately 10 minutes drive where there is a good selection of shops, banks, supermarkets and bars/restaurants.
A tranquil fourteenth century cathedral overlooks the town.
Silves Castle dating from the 13th century is open to the public and includes an archaeological museum and various historic artifacts. Exhibitions are often held at the castle.
The Fabrica do Ingles, (Silves) an old cork factory and museum showing the history of cork production around Silves. There are various restaurants within this interesting complex.
The Arade river runs through Silves. At the Arade reservoir sailing boats can be hired to explore this quiet area set in scenic surroundings.(Just 15 minutes drive North East from the town)
Enjoy a trip to the Monchique mountains through woodlands and via good tarmac roads. There are expansive views from the highest point at Foia. Visit the spa village of Caldas where many of the houses retain the traditional splendour of the late nineteenth century. A good choice of restaurants and shops are selling local produce etc to each side of the road.
THE ZOO MARINE centre has dolphins and shows daily.
Two large water amusement parks offering fun attractions for children are approximately 25 minutes drive.

Booking Notes
Provisional Bookings will be held for seven days. A deposit of 25% is required, the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to the holiday commencement date. In every case, with the exception of long winter lets, the price quoted is for the property per week for the specified number of people and includes gas, water, electricity and villa cleaning.
In case of cancellation, your deposit is not refundable and the total cost will be forfeited when cancellation is made within eight weeks of the intended date of your holiday commencing.
