Charente Manoir, in peaceful surroundings. We have never had anyone who stayed that was not more than happy with their stay.
In addition to the rooms listed, the property contains a Laundry room, wine cellar, Courtyard Parking for 4/5 cars, Terrace - with table and chairs, Large grassed area (1 acre) surrounded by river and trees - ideal area to play games, Large Barbecue building with electric lights and running water, both standard and fireplace BBQ's and table and chairs to sit 8/10. The Manoir is centrally heated and the Gite has both a fire and a Woodburning stove. The Manoir has satellite TV.
A rustic blend of oak beams, terracotta tiles and exposed stone walls are the backdrop for spacious living areas, the walls are a meter thick.
From the courtyard you climb stone steps on to a terrace that leads you both around the house to the front gate and in to a large hallway. Immediately the stress and tiredness of the journey evaporate as the warmth of the house and its interior welcomes you.
The spacious manor house accommodates 7-13 people and a Gite just across the courtyard can sleep a further 4 people.

Rochepine Manoir is also well positioned for excursions into the Dordogne - 1 hour drive to Perigeux - the capital of the Dordogne departement. Sarlat/Brantome is within 45 minutes drive, Benjac etc the list goes on.

Two Bedrooms have Kingsize and other bedrooms have double beds, the beds have very comfortable mattresses. Two of the bedrooms also have Sofa Beds. The bedrooms are very large.
The lounge features a grand open stone fireplace and opens on to a formal dining room. An oak staircase will take you up to the stoned walled and beamed ceiling bedrooms and shower rooms over two floors.

The Terrace surrounding the Manor House or the BBQ building are a calm oasis in the heat of the summer, ideal to sit in the shade to eat & drink. A raised walled garden outside the garden room and at the bottom of steps descending from the kitchen provides an ideal place for small children to play and a stone, tiled table is ideal for picnics. grounds are home to established trees, fruit trees, shrubs and an herb garden. There are superb views of the surrounding countryside and a river meanders along the two sides of the property. By the river at the top of the grounds is a small stone, tiled table for picnics close to the weir that bubbles close by.

Leading from the kitchen is a Games/Garden room equipped with Table tennis room, darts board and table football. The double French doors lead to a walled garden area with tiled stone table and staircase leading back up to the kitchen, a fig tree leans over the steps.

The gardens are large enough to enjoy outdoor activities including a game of football. The river is safe to swim in and may be fished.

There are numerous lakes in the area where sailing and swimming can be enjoyed.
